Microneedle-Array Patch with Enzyme-Free Polymeric Components for On-Dem...
An electronics-free, enzyme-free, and nanoparticle-free smart artificial on-skin pancreas, which is a hybrid microneedle-array patch fabricated with a glucose-sensitive boronate-hydrogel and biocompatible silk fibroin semi-interpenetrating network, able to continuously monitor glucose levels whilst autonomously delivering insulin on demand. This microneedles-array patch offers long-acting persistent glycemic control in a safe, convenient, and painless way, which will significantly improve patients’ life quality.
