Central African Republic Can't Wait, Says WFP Head
With continuing violence and displacement, and the near-collapse of its economy, Central African Republic is on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe. The country urgently needs international assistance, says WFP Executive Director Ertharin Cousin, who raised the alarm during her recent visit. As the food and nutritional crisis deepens and funds run short, her message is simple: "C.A.R. can't wait"
