"Lightning" - Alex Goot
The long winter has finally ended and jumped right into mother nature's dark side. Jeff and Kathryn Piotrowski watched the storm initiate on radar in NW Texas and then intercepted the storm as it crept up on the west side of Onley, TX. This storm became tornado warned as it approached Throckmorton, TX producing very large hail and damaging winds. Fortunately Jeff and Kathryn escaped any hail damage to their chase vehicle, maneuvering just ahead of the hail by mere seconds. Many storm chasers vehicles were damaged by this storm, blowing out windows.
